Speaking & Keynotes

Keynotes your audience experiences, not just attend

Every talk Gilan gives blends serious leadership content with a live, interactive mentalist experiment that demonstrates the exact idea he's teaching. The result is a session that's distinctively memorable, and one that earns its place on a senior agenda.

The standard format
Up to
60 minutes

A keynote runs up to 60 minutes. Gilan sets up the framework, lands the key insights with compelling stories and case studies from his work with leaders, and along the way your audience takes part in an entertaining mentalist experiment that makes the central idea impossible to forget. People leave with one or two things they can actually use, and a story they'll retell.

Workshops and longer programmes go further. You'll find those on the Leadership & Culture Work page.

What Gilan speaks on

Four talks at the core

01

Unlocking Growth Mindset

For organisations whose culture has gone risk-averse, or who've tried culture work that didn't stick. Why do some teams keep growing while others plateau? This talk gets underneath the slogans to the practical shifts that actually move a team, drawing on the research behind Cultures of Growth and Gilan's work across dozens of leadership teams.

02

The Rapid Influence Formula

For teams who need to gain buy-in faster, without formal authority or resorting to pressure. Gilan breaks influence down into a few simple components so people can establish trust, credibility, and support more predictably, and ethically. It's the framework he was hired to present for NATO as the opening talk of their StratCom conference.

03

PEAK Feedback

For teams that avoid the hard conversations. PEAK Feedback is about how to hold any difficult conversation in a way that creates breakthrough influence rather than friction. It covers the inner game and the outer game of giving, receiving, and seeking feedback, and finishes with simple conflict resolution that's practical and actually works.

04

The Business of Body Language

What you convey versus what you say, and how to read what people actually mean. Useful for any leader who wants to be more aware of how they come across, and sharper at reading the room.

Gilan also speaks on Leading Wisely Under Pressure (the PEAK Method), the Six Universal Principles of Influence, strategic storytelling, polarity thinking, and negotiation. If your brief doesn't match neatly to one of the topics above, tell him what you're trying to achieve and he'll recommend the right fit.

Every talk is tailored

Gilan tailors every talk to your audience and your goal. Once a talk is booked, you'll schedule a briefing call where he can ask the right questions and shape the material around your exact context. No two talks are quite the same.

Choosing the right talk

Most clients don't arrive knowing which topic they want, and that's completely fine. The better starting point is the outcome you're after, or the challenge your people are sitting with. Tell Gilan that, and he'll point you to the talk that fits, or tell you honestly if he's not the right person for it.
